To extend the Diamondbacks lead in Game 6 of the NLCS to 4-1, Ketel Marte tied Marquis Grissom with a 15-game hitting streak to start his postseason career.
Grissom’s 15-game hitting streak dates back to 1995.

This streak from Marte carries over from 2017, when he went 7-21 combined between the Wild Card round and the NLDS.
In October so far this year, Marte has recorded at least one hit in every game.
This includes five multi-hit nights, which have brought his career batting average up to .383.
While the Diamondbacks offense has struggled to find its footing in the NLCS, Marte has been one of the few bright spots.
After Marte’s triple in Game 6, the D-backs grabbed a 4-1 lead over the Phillies in the 5th inning.
A win for the Diamondbacks would mean a Game 7 meeting on Tuesday night.
